LOCATION: SINARTS GALLERY (GOOGLE MAPS)

SinArts is excited to present the wonderful works of two contemporay masters. We will fill the gallery with the contemporary ceramics of japanese artist Satoru Hoshino, combining his tactile sculptures with the energetic and exciting work of Chung-Hsi Han.

This is the first time Chung-Hsi Han will be showing a part of his collection of drawings on Nepalese Lokta Paper. Inspired by his travels through Nepal, Chung-Hsi Han has returned to a form of abstraction. Applying charcoal, acrylic and ink to hand made Nepalese paper, layer after layer after layer he manages to create a vibrant, deep image which tempts the viewer to come closer, feel the paper, the creases, and streams.

That same tactility can be said of Satoru Hoshino’s ceramic sculptures. travelling across the globe he finds black clay to manipulate with his strong hands. The works carry plenty of traces of his finger-prints in their rough, wobbled yet massive incarnations.
